It took Paul Smith just six years from opening a small boutique in 1970 to his first collection in Paris under the Paul Smith label.  Paul’s evening classes in tailoring in the intervening years had clearly paid off!

Within 20 years of his introduction to fashion Paul was established as the pre-eminent British designer.

The Black Label Autumn/Winter 2011 collection takes its inspiration from the minimalist décor of the 1970s. The tailoring is clean-cut and sharp with intricate prints by way of contrast.
